Moonmoon Sen started her career in films and televisions after she got married and became a mother. She has appeared in more than 60 films and over 40 television serials. She made her debut with the film "Andar Bahar" in 1984. Her role in the movie became quite a controversy amongst the audiences and film critics. She has appeared in many hit Bengali movies, which further helped her in getting roles in Hindi films as well. She was moderately successful in Hindi film industry, however, was more successful in the Bengali industry. After the movie "Zakhmi Dil" that released in the year 1994 she did not appear in films, however in 2003 she starred in the thriller "Kucch To Hai" which failed at the box-office.
